When my son' teacher asked me for help for her class room' pirate display, I jumped on the occasion.. I gather all the objects I could find in my house that would be appropriate for this display. I made a few new props like this treasure' chest, the brown straps on the outside were old leather belts I knew would come handy one day...I've added fake gems and other pearls from my Bollywood event.
I made this beautiful treasure' map on stained tea paper and the Strong Rum bottle was made few months earlier.
Here's another treasure chest, this one was a small metal money box and I added some gold spray painted rocks. I also made salt dough coins, using a stamp for the graphic on the top, they were then painted gold then distressed a little). The portrait is off Blackbeard.
